Review: Vinny’s Quiz Night. At Whitchurch Sports & Social Club (WSSC), we love a good quiz night. But when itâs for a great cause, it makes every question, every raffle ticket, and every laugh even more special. Last weekend, we hosted an incredible fundraising quiz night for Vinny Goodfield for his London Marathon efforts in support of Children with Cancer UK, and thanks to our amazing community, we raised an impressive ÂŁ455!
đ Coming Together for a Cause
It was a night of brainpower, banter, and big-hearted generosity. With teams battling it out for the title of quiz champions, the competition was fierce, but the real winner of the night was the charity we were all there to support.
A massive thank you goes out to everyone who contributedâwhether you took part in the quiz, bought a raffle ticket, donated a prize, or simply turned up to support the cause. Every little bit added up to something amazing.

Of course, no quiz night runs smoothly without a great host, and we were lucky to have Mark stepping up as quiz master. His quick wit, tricky questions, and expert crowd control made the night even more enjoyable. A huge thanks to Vinny, too, for his part in the event and rallying the community to support such an important cause.

A quiz night wouldnât be complete without a raffle, and thanks to the generosity of our guests and local businesses, we had some fantastic prizes up for grabs. The excitement of the draw added to the fun, with lucky winners walking away with some brilliant goodies.

This fundraising night wasnât just about the quizâit was also a kickstart to Vinnyâs personal fundraising journey as he takes on a running challenge in aid of Children with Cancer UK. Now, after a successful night at the club, letâs hope his running is just as smooth as our fundraising efforts (no pressure, Vinny! đ).
