First things first — THANK YOU!.
Thank you to everyone who supported Whitchurch Sports and Social Club throughout last year. Whether you popped in for a quiet drink, danced the night away at an event, volunteered behind the scenes, or simply spread the word, you played a part in what made the club thrive.

As we step into 2026, we want to wish everyone good luck, good health, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. A new year always brings a fresh sense of excitement, and this one already feels like it’s shaping up to be something special.

The Year Might Be New, But Some Things Never Change 😉

Let’s be honest — the moment one year ends, the next one sprints off at full speed.

We now have:

• A fresh set of birthdays to remember (and pretend not to forget) – We do hire our hall for parties etc – see below!
• Easter eggs already appearing on shop shelves
• And somehow, unbelievably, only 358 days until Christmas 🎄

It sounds ridiculous, but it’s also a reminder of how quickly the year fills with moments worth sharing. And that’s exactly what we plan to do at Whitchurch Club in 2026.

A Year Packed with Events You’ll Actually Want to Talk About 🎶🥊😂

If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s this: people love a good night out at the club.
So rather than slowing things down, we’re going bigger, bolder, and busier in 2026.

Quip Shed Comedy Night will be returning after proving hugely popular. If you were lucky enough to get a ticket last time, you’ll know why it sold out. If you missed out, this year is your chance — just don’t hang about.

Boxing nights are also coming back, bringing people together for big fights, big reactions, and a proper shared atmosphere you simply don’t get at home.
And after being one of our most talked-about events, wrestling will return too. Loud, energetic, and unforgettable, it’s firmly earned its place as a fan favourite.

We’ve also got a psychic evening lined up… although, if they’re any good, you should already know that.

These aren’t just events.
They’re nights people talk about afterwards.

A Day Out Worth Looking Forward To 🏇

We’re also planning a club day out to Newbury Races in March or April.
These trips are always a highlight, offering a great mix of fresh air, friendly competition, and even better company.

It’s the kind of day that brings people together, whether you’re a racing regular or just there for the experience. More details will be shared soon, but it’s one to keep firmly on your radar.
