More Games, More Winners, and More Money Raised for Macmillan

The Macmillan Darts Marathon returns to Whitchurch Sports & Social Club on Saturday 13th June 2026, and this year we’re introducing four exciting new darts challenges to help raise even more money for a fantastic cause.
The main challenge remains the same. Participants will attempt to score an incredible 100,000 points in just 12 hours, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
However, visitors can now get involved too.
Throughout the day, anyone attending the event will have the opportunity to test their darts skills in a series of fun mini-games designed to add even more excitement to the day while helping us raise additional funds for charity.
Last year, the event raised more than Β£1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, and we’re hoping these new additions will help us beat that total in 2026.

π Supporting an Incredible Cause
Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, emotional, and financial support to people living with cancer and their families.
Many of us know somebody who has been affected by cancer, which is why events like the Macmillan Darts Marathon are so important.
Every dart thrown, every challenge entered, and every donation made helps support the incredible work Macmillan carries out across the UK.
π― Four New Challenges
Alongside the main marathon, visitors will be able to enter four individual competitions throughout the day.
Each challenge costs just Β£2 per entry.
To make things even more interesting, half of every entry fee will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, while the remaining half will form the winner’s prize fund.
That means every entry not only supports charity but also gives participants the chance to walk away with a cash prize.

π― The Ace Average
Consistency is often what separates good darts players from great darts players.
In The Ace Average, players will have five visits to the board, a total of 15 darts, to record the highest average score possible.
It sounds simple, but maintaining a strong average over multiple visits is harder than many people think.
The player with the highest average score at the end of the day will be crowned champion.
π― Bullseye Challenge
Think you’ve got a steady hand?
The Bullseye Challenge puts accuracy to the test.
Players have 60 seconds to score as many points as possible by hitting the bull.
π΄ Bullseye = 2 Points
βͺ Outer Bull = 1 Point
Fast, frantic, and highly competitive, this challenge could prove to be one of the most popular games of the day.
π― Mad House
Every darts player knows Double 1 can be surprisingly difficult when the pressure is on.
In Mad House, competitors have 15 darts to hit as many Double 1s as possible.
Simple rules. Difficult target.
Expect plenty of laughs and a few frustrated groans along the way.

π― The Number Run
This challenge rewards both speed and accuracy.
Starting with Number 1, players must hit every number on the dartboard in sequence.
Miss your target and the clock keeps ticking.
The fastest completed run wins.
It sounds straightforward, but under pressure it becomes surprisingly challenging.
π Fun for Players and Spectators
Whether you’re taking part in the marathon itself, entering the side competitions, or simply supporting from the sidelines, there will be plenty happening throughout the day.
The additional games give everyone the opportunity to get involved, regardless of experience level.
You don’t need to be a league player to take part. You just need a few darts and a sense of fun.
